The great thing about illustrations is that no two are alike. Using illustrated characters can breathe life into your brand’s visual language. We have worked on unique sketches that illustrate the values and the target audience restaurants stand for. You know the usual branding questions - who is your target audience? If your brand were a person would they be male or female? What is your brand’s attitude? A well-researched bespoke illustration can do them all justice. See our work for Canto Corvino.
Illustrations Can Personify and Anthropomorphize Your Brand
The great thing about illustrations is that no two are alike. Using illustrated characters can breathe life into your brand’s visual language. Figuring out your narrative is key to any visual identity building. Your brand needs to tell a story - why is it here? Where does it come from? What does it have for your customer? What should a customer expect to feel? In our illustrations for Big Dog, Marriott Berlin, we used the Dachshund (aka sausage dog) to tell the restaurant’s story. This language was then translated to the menus, collateral, napkins, interiors, and web presence.
Illustrations Add A Touch of Theatre and Character
The in-house illustrations team at B3 finds immense satisfaction in learning everything there is to learn about a brand, putting together mood boards, filtering down to ideas and concepts, and creating stunning and unique illustrations that can be adapted to multiple applications. See our work for Brasserie Bellanger in Paris, the DNB in Budapest, and Mei Mei in London.
Building Out A Family Of Illustrations
llustrations can add a reimagined dimension to reality, and establishing a brand family means that the style can be depicted and applied across all touchpoints. For a burger joint in Paris, Lille, we identified and brought a style to life, then replicating it with bright, colourful, and memorable adaptations across posters, menus, and other restaurant collateral.
And for the famous Levi Roots, our vibrant illustrations stretched menus, business cards, coasters, promo cards, and even interiors.
